Carma Sutra
Carmen is a 20-something recent Howard University graduate from Richmond, VA. She graduated from Appomattox Regional Governor’s School for the Arts and Technology in Petersburg, VA. There she majored in Theater. In 2005, she moved to the nation’s capitol to fulfill her dream of attending the one and only HU. During her college years, she had a lot of experiences, met a lot of great people, and did a lot of great work in the community. Now that she has graduated, she is on a mission to take over the world to create, to set trends, and to let the world know that she is here to stay. She won’t be boxed in, and some people say she’s a little loud and over the top, but she’s unique, and she makes no apologies. With a love for fashion, art, music and people, she is a HAND FULL. Carma Sutra is her name…
M Dot
Who is M Dot? Born and bred in central Virginia in a small town south of Richmond, she now lays her head in the nation’s capital. This 20-something is a student of British literature and a bartender with a passion for writing that was discovered while she was a student at Appomattox Regional Governors School for the Arts. An aspiring novelist/playwright, a party girl, a fuck up and a success, that happens to be brilliant, artistic, sensitive, strong, and loving with a touch of megalomania. M Dot is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Don’t try and figure her out, because she is still working on it. Just call her a work in progress.
CONTRIBUTING WRITERS
A.M.
A.M. Is the elder of the group– he really is “almost 30-something”. Hailing from Atlanta, GA, A.M. Moved to the district in 2002 and completed his undergraduate studies at the American University in Public Communication and Spanish in 2006.
Hoping this would land him a banging job that wouldn’t be migraine-inducing, the mediocrity he found in the workplace instead has certainly afforded him plenty to rant about. He’s no fool though– contributing to this blog won’t pay the bills, but will certainly give all of you endless entertainment as A.M. has amassed a plethora of ways to stay ahead of curves and trends.
A socialite by default, not nature, A.M. has enjoyed painting the district with his cunning and witty approach to this thing called life. Unapologetic about the things that roll off of his tongue, A.M. is the life of the party– sure to be caught with a smile from ear-to-ear in every picture. An aspiring writer, he hopes this blog will be the vessel to carry him out of the harsh misery that is corporate America.
Life for him has certainly been no crystal stair, but he’s learned a few tricks to tweak it so that he can make it… Stay tuned; you might learn something.
